For working with 3d layers required min. Photoshop CC 2015 – max. Photoshop version 22.2 (Decamber 2020). Starting from the Photoshop 22.5, beginning the process of removing 3D features.
If you are using the Photoshop builds (22.4.1+) and canvas not displayed on the screen go to Preferences > Technology Previews, and check the item Deactivate Native Canvas, then restart Photoshop.
